Healthy School Status
The school is committed to promoting good health and general well being. Ysgol y Bynea is proud of its recent achievement of the 5th leaf in Carmarthenshire’s Healthy Schools Accreditation Scheme. Pupils are encouraged to drink water throughout the day. The school provides filtered, chilled water dispensers for all to use. Pupils are encouraged to ‚Stay Safe in the Sun‛. Dental hygiene and good practise when brushing teeth is strongly promoted. The establishment of the Healthy Tuck Shop ensures pupils eat a variety of fruit on a daily basis.
